Creating a good photo takes equipment, time, energy, skill, and post-processing. It is work! And the labor that goes into making that product means it has value.

If the plan is to use my work for advertising something, especially if the purpose is to generate profit, then asking for appropriate compensation is a fair ask. While I appreciate the offer of tagging me on social media, there is no way to guage the actual value of an unspecified number of future likes and follows.

However, my licensing rates are reasonable and negotiable. They are based on whether you desire to use my photo(s) in digital, print, or both mediums. By the terms of the license you don’t even have to credit me for exposure.
